Too often we live the way others want us to live, but until you decide to live on purpose by using conscious thinking strategies ,you will always be living by default.
Well, it is a snowy morning here at the farm- but it is so nice! As much as I love the Florida sun, there is something about a snowy morning… it just relaxes you instantly.
Today, I wanted to write to you today- as this will be my last day writing until next Monday!
I am taking a break.
Off for the holiday.
Time for recharge.
Now, that feels very uncomfortable for me to write- but in writing it, I gain comfort with it.
This becomes what I call: Conscious cueing….
Meaning it is intentional.
The more I intentionally program, the more conscious I/ we become of our mindset.
For most, it is their default patterns that run their life….
Default means “without true awareness”- happening unintentionally as a result of previous thoughts and experiences….
That is no way to live…
There is too much left to a positive history, a positive past, all things going great…
And, for most, that simply is not the case…
With my coaching clients and teams this is what I have been teaching this week…
Default vs. Conscious…
The goal for the week was to identify your default patterns- and rewrite them using conscious, intentional patterns.
When we can do this, we begin to live on purpose…
We live a life that we have more understanding of and control of- as opposed to just letting things happen to us…
This way of living in the conscious, using conscious, intentional programming allows life to happen for us…..
We are offense type players…
The type of players that work hard each day to determine our fate…..(As much as we can)…
Default living puts us in a defensive position… hoping and wishing that things go as hoped….
But it is conscious living and thinking that says: I am going to find a way…. I will find a way…
And when you live like that, you will be amazed at what is truly possible for you!
You begin to attract the things you want because you are positioned correctly mentally- and as a result are ready to handle all that comes your way…
Conscious living and thinking is the absolute framework needed to optimize potential and take advantage of all of you ability….
So what stops most?
These are the 4-horseman of “why” people live by default….
And once the 4-horseman hang around long enough, you begin to believe that your reality is default living…..
IT MOST CERTAINLY IS NOT.
So, if you want to begin living consciously and on purpose.. here is the formula.
- Take time, at least 20 minutes per day to unplug, be quiet, and just be.
- Once you have quieted down, write down how you want to live…..or your desired conscious thoughts….
- Next, write down what stops you “thought wise” from doing this- basically coming to terms with what your default thoughts are….
- Write down on a card your Desired Daily Conscious Thoughts and read them daily….
After reading your card for several weeks- you will get more comfortable with the language and start feeling your mind change to more intentional living….
This is happening because you are retraining your brain…
You are working with your brains plasticity — meaning, you are acknowledging your minds ability to grow, develop, and expand when it is fed with new thoughts.. and programs.
You just have to take the time…
Or better yet, schedule the time.
Because “what we schedule gets done”- and that is what we are about- getting things done.
Now, as we head into a quiet time here in the states- take some time to work through this!
It is that important!
