Try Something New.

Too often we get stagnant- this can often be caused by what was once a good routine that has gone bad .

Hi Team-

Do you ever get stuck in a rut?

Maybe you get stuck in a repetitive loop where you feel like everyday is similar or a variation of the previous?

Or, maybe you have been locked in for so long that you just do the same things over and over and over again.

Rinse, wash, repeat- another 2,3,4,5 years goes by…

Well, here is a question for you:

When was the last time you scheduled yourself to learn something new and to engage in something new?

Our friend of The Becoming a Champion Show, comedian and actor Adam Carolla shared an interesting story on his social media yesterday…

It was him in a kayak.

The caption said: Each week I will spent 1hr. doing/ learning something new.

Bingo. Love that.

This is what you callActivity Dependent Plasticity- brain growth and expansion through doing, engaging in, and learning new things.

What if you committed to 1hr. per week of something fun and something new?

What would be on your list?

Now- here is the key: Don’t just think about it, plan it and schedule it.

Book it.

Get it in your schedule.

For me, this weekend, I am going to a vegetable farm to get fresh veggies directly from the farmer.

It is simple, yes.

But, it is very different from what I would typically do. I also will have the opportunity to go to a new place, meet a passionate farmer, and learn about their trade.

= GROWTH.

Next, for me, I have always loved drawing and painting, so, I will make time in my schedule next week for this…

= GROWTH.

Each week, if you do something new, go someplace new, and meet somebody new…
